August 1, 2017 - Todd Shute of Des Moines, Iowa drove to his third-straight Lucas Cattle Company victory last weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway. Shute dominated the 24-car field and per the latest speedway press release, “lapped up to the seventh-place finisher” in a race that ran green to checkers.

Early in the main event, previous winner Johnny Fennewald of Appleton City led the race but Shute drove around Fennewald by lap five and cruised to an easy win over Fennewald and Jon Binning, who ended a string of recent bad luck by garnering a strong third-place finish. Rounding out the top ten were Aaron Marrant, Daniel Jessen, ULMA point’s leader Cody Holtkamp, Aaron Poe, Lane Ehlert, Dustin Walker and Phil Edmondson. Heat race victories went to Shute, Ehlert, and Fennewald.
