June 7, 2017 - The ULMA race season continued last weekend with two more events to make race numbers nine and ten on the season. At Callaway Raceway on Friday evening, Dustin Hodges of claimed his second victory of the season and then on Saturday, Dylan Hoover became the newest winning ULMA driver with a win at I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri.

Hodges’ second victory of the season came over Chris Cox, Hoover, Todd McCoin, Cody Holtkamp, and Jason Russell. Racing continues this Friday at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri. Gates Open at 5, drivers meeting 6:45, hot laps at 7, and racing begins at 7:30. Fischer Auto Body is the official presenter of all ULMA events at Callaway this season. During the first of a scheduled two visits to I-35 Speedway north of Kansas City, nine drivers competed with Dylan Hoover of Vandalia, Missouri and Shad Badder of Oak Grove, Missouri taking heat-race wins. Hoover advanced from his second starting position to lead the main event for the night to capture his first-ever ULMA feature win. Larry Ferris, Cody Holtkamp, Tommy Cordray, Aaron Marrant, Shad Badder, Larry Clawson, Jon Binning and Ron Binning rounded out the field. Saturday’s event this week takes place at Lucas Oil Speedway after a couple weeks off for ULMA competitors. From the latest Lucas Oil Speedway press release, the 6th annual John Haas Memorial Drag Boat Classic, featuring Top Fuel Hydros that roar in excess of 250 miles-per-hour, begins a three-day run Friday on "Lake Lucas."
