May 2, 2017 - The ULMA 2017 race season is off to a soggy start after the last few weeks left drivers frustrated and cars on jack stands. However, another weekend is fast-approaching and hopefully dryer conditions will prevail during planned events Friday at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri and Saturday at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg.

Drivers return to Callaway Raceway on Friday where former champion Jason Russell owns the lone victory at the track this season. After losing five of eight points races due to wet conditions at the various tracks, drivers will hit the point’s chasing trail this weekend in hopes of adding starts to their 2017 achievements. On Friday, gates Open at 5, drivers meeting 6:45, hot laps at 7, and racing begins at 7:30. Fischer Auto Body is the official presenter of all ULMA events at Callaway this season. Since 1979, Fischer Auto Body has been mending and tending to all make, model, and manner of vehicles, for additional details visit www.fischerbodyshop.com. For additional information regarding the track, visit the track website located at www.callawayraceways.com.

ULMA action shifts to the west on Saturday when drivers converge on Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) just north of Warrensburg on Highway 13. In last year’s CMS events, Aaron Marrant took two of the four victories while Jon Binning and Larry Ferris claimed the other two events. On Saturday Pit Gates open at 4:30, spectator gates at 5, driver pill draw closes at 6:15, late drivers will not earn passing points. The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, hot laps at 7:00 and racing begins at 7:30. General admission adults $12, Military w/I.D. and Seniors 65 to 74 $10, kids ages six to twelve $5, five years and under are free, seniors 75 and older also free, all pit passes $30.
